Many scholars from around the country with specific expertise are working with the center to create content.
Matthew Marino, professor of outstanding student education and another center leader at UCF, worked with learning experts in five states to develop the first micro credible placed in a learning designed platform.
As the center's network and reach begin to expand, the team will conduct an analysis to identify the center's growing pains and address them quickly with new content delivery, Basquez explains.
"How effective it was at providing guidance to learners at all skill levels had wins and disadvantages. There is an accessibility issue. Housing is different, but content delivery. It's a completely different thing.
"We really aim to reach a wider audience."
The center's collaborators included the non-profit educational research and development organization the University of Kansas and the Center for Applied Special Technology in Boston, which designed the universal design of the learning framework.
The Meteorite Group also appreciates the work of the center.
Basquez holds a doctorate in special education from Utah State University. He joined the UCF Department in 2008 and helped bring in more than $ 12 million in ongoing funding for community innovation and education university projects.
His research interests include STEM education, autism, and technology. Basquez is also the director of the Tony Jennings Institute for Exceptional Education and a board member of the Center for Applied Special Technology.

Merino holds a doctorate in special education from the University of Connecticut. He joined the UCF faculty in 2012 after graduating from Washington State University.
Marino's research interests include curriculum design, special education, executive capabilities, and STEM innovation. Marino received more than $ 8.5 million in federal grants during his career.
